Chief Investment Office
The Chief Investment Office is responsible for centralized management and delivery of the firm’s strategic priorities across the structural interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk and liquidity management created by other lines of businesses and corporate transactions, as well as the oversight of various corporate investments and obligations. CIO uses a diversified range of products, including derivatives, fixed income, equity, credit, and foreign exchange and currencies in order to manage this risk.

Group Overviews:
Corporate Treasury is a critical function within CIO responsible for optimizing and ensuring the safety and soundness of the firm's balance sheet; managing various structural risks created by the day-to-day activities of the firm's operating businesses; investing a portion of the firm's excess capital, when appropriate, in high credit quality, liquid investments; analyzing the firm’s line of business and consolidated interest rate risk. Key objectives of CIO activities are to protect the firm from financial losses while preserving and increasing long term capital value.

Corporate Treasury Middle Office team (CTMO) is responsible for the key functions of Liquidity Analytics and Reporting, Interest Rate Risk Reporting and Funds Transfer Pricing. The team is responsible for the production of key Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk analytics and reports provided both externally & internally, including senior management, board and regulators. The team oversees the execution of the control agenda and operating model supporting the data flow from the various line of business (LOBs) into the liquidity risk reporting system (Liquidity Risk Infrastructure (LRI) and ultimately feeding into various Liquidity and Interest Rate risk analytical tools and reports.

In partnership with the various LOBs, Corporate Treasury and Risk Oversight, the team executes key controls, analytics and metrics to validate Liquidity and Interest rate Risk at the Legal Entity, Currency, LOB, and Product levels.

Corporate Treasury Operations is a multi-currency Operations group that supports the firm's entire Treasury business and provides settlement, accounting and control support for CIO. In support of Treasury, the group provides end to end transaction lifecycle support for both the Treasury funding and long term debt business. The team processes and accounts for several hundred funding transactions daily across multiple international branches in order to support different LOBs. In support of CIO, the team provides settlements, accounting and control for several different product types including Fixed Income Securities (including US Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, MBS, etc), Interest Rate Derivatives and Exchange Traded Futures and Options across multiple legal entities.
Corporate Treasury Position Management team (CTPM) that manages highly visible projects that need to be coordinated and executed across Treasury and JP Morgan.

Treasury/CIO Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for ensuing high-quality data is available to support activities, such as improving efficiency and decision-making capabilities through enhanced access to data, ensuring appropriate data controls are in place and resolving data quality issues.

  • The program aims to place candidates into mid-to-senior level roles, targeting the Vice President level . Individuals with previous (6+ years) experience relevant to the businesses noted above, and are on a career break of 2+ years , are encouraged to apply.
  • Individuals must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner.
  • The ability to relate well to external clients and internal partners and establishing strong working relationships is a crucial requirement of the program.
