J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, with client assets of $2.4 trillion, is a global leader in investment and wealth management. The Global Fixed Income Analytics team develops and supports all Fixed Income valuation and risk analytics used by the Front Office (Portfolio Managers and traders) and risk controls group.  Working closely with FO users on a daily basis, the group builds tools and valuation models responsible for providing our Portfolio Managers with accurate risk and performance metrics across the fixed income asset spectrum from simple US Treasuries to CDS options.
 
The role requires the candidate to have excellent Fixed Income product valuation knowledge and communication skills.
  • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years working in financial services industry in similar role.
Key responsibilities
  • Designing, developing, and deploying tools for the Front Office.
  • Participate or lead project planning sessions with Portfolios Managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze/translate business IT requirements.
  • Provide design recommendations, developing and integrating programs per high level specifications.
  • Liaising with Quant Research and other technology groups for knowledge sharing and joint initiatives.
  • Define requirements, and guide the business through the development cycle (intermediate releases, evolving requirements)
 
Key Tech skills (Essential)
  • Strong Python/C#/Java
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Excel/VBA development
  • Oracle/Sybase (intermediate to advanced)
  • Clear understanding of pricing and risk issues on financial products on which he/she has worked.
 
Key Soft skills (Essential)
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Efficient problem solving skills
  • Good/Clear communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to work both independently, taking clear ownership for delivery, and as part of a team. Self motivated.
  • Experience working in a Trading environment.
  • Able to react quickly and perform well under stress and high demand
  • Strong adaptability to changing requirements
