The FICC Product Management Team sits within the Capital Markets Solution Team, and works in conjunction with the FICC Trading Desk Heads & Control Support Functions to achieve & support the following agendas:
  • New Product & Business Solutions
  • Platform Development
  • Regulatory Initiatives
  • Trading Desk Improvements
  • Day-to-Day Business Management

Role Outline


Associate/VP level position within the global FICC product management team, to specifically focus on the risk & control and regulatory agenda for the global FICC business.


Key Responsibilities Include: 

  • Regulatory focus, understanding the regulatory environment, translating requirements into controls for the trading business
  • Run the weekly office of obligation (OLO) process
  • Run the annual Risk & Control Assessment Process, and conflicts of interest for the FICC business
  • Key business participant in audits & audit remediation
  • Work with FICC Solutions & Product Managers to review procedures, to ensure all processes are properly documented
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk to identify and address areas of risk and regulatory exposure across multiple asset classes
  • Develop and manage project plans though strategy development, project definition, solution development, agreement, and implementation
  • Develop and communicate updates for senior management
  • Coordinate initiatives across regions to bring consistency between the US, EMEA, Asia, and Latam
  • Build detailed knowledge of trading systems and front / middle / back office process flows
  • Numerous projects will require effective partnership with the following groups: Investment Leadership; Business Management; Legal and Compliance; Technology and Operations; Risk Management; Marketing;  Finance; and Tax

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate problems, solutions, and step by step instructions on how to implement them.  Must be able to communicate with senior management to market participants, sales people, and technology staff equally effectively.
  • Detailed understanding of how trading systems work and an intuitive understanding of how a trader will use those systems
  • Ability to reduce complex problems into component parts and find innovative solutions to a wide variety of compliance, legal, technological, and behavioral constraints.
  • Ability to identify and question implied assumptions, and exploit faulty assumptions to improve processes and systems
  • 5-7 years of Project Management. Regulatory and Risk & Control experience, specifically in large-scale project planning and product management
  • Familiarity with Fixed Income, FX & Commodities markets
  • 3-5 years of financial markets experience in Fixed Income and Trading Products
  • Understanding of market trading conventions, settlement procedures, systems, and protocol in a wide variety of asset classes required.
