CIB F&BM - Business Management Associate – London
 
CIB Risk F&BM is seeking an Associate-level Business Manager based in London as part of the Business Management team to support the Quantitative Research Management team.
 
Description of Quantitative Research Team:
The Quantitative Research group is responsible for model risk and development, analytics software development, trade desk support, product structuring, risk management advisory and research, and strategic technology design and development. The team includes LOB-aligned QR, Market Risk QR, Counterparty Credit Risk, Market Risk Capital, Op Risk Capital, and Wholesale Credit Capital Modeling
This role is business management, based in London, and supporting the QR teams in London and also globally.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Assist Global and EMEA QR leads in driving strategy and growth
  • Project manage initiatives in support of business priorities
  • Partner with Risk teams to manage and respond to Regulatory/Audit requests
  • Work with other risk functions, CIB Risk Tech and Risk Reporting teams to ensure a strong infrastructure is in place to support both CIB and Firmwide initiatives
  • Identify and manage business risks, including the control agenda
  • Optimize business performance and planning, including
    • Planning and expense management
    • Headcount planning
    • Real Estate and seat planning
    • Resolution of HR issues, eval committee planning, comp planning, facilitation of people agenda
  • Support management team agendas and meetings, business reviews, reporting and follow ups
  • Contribute to CIB Risk F&BM key projects, including strategic and control related initiatives
  • Contribute to CIB and F&BM agendas
Qualifications:
  • Experience in financial services
  • Business Management, Finance and/or Risk experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent collaboration and team-working skills
  • Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior level staff
  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Self-starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
  • Energetic, self motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
