Managing Director or Executive Director, Corporate Client Banking Technology Group - South Region
The position is a corporate banking Relationship Management role in the Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries Technology industry group inBoston, with an emphasis on business development, corporate finance and market leadership The primary functions are to 1) generate new business opportunities, 2) manage existing relationships, and 3) represent our Technology banking practice in our South Region.
The Technology Group is part of Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries within the Commercial Bank and is responsible for managing relationships with public and private companies with valuations typically greater than $750mm that require investment banking and traditional banking services. The group focuses on North American based Technology companies with global operations and advises clients and prospects seeking to raise capital across a variety of markets. In addition we advise clients on Risk Management and Global Treasury Solutions.
The bankers work closely with Investment Banking Coverage Partners and Product Specialists (Syndications, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, M&A, etc), in addition to Credit Underwriters and Product Specialists from Treasury Services, International Banking, Investment Management & Private Banking.
This position requires an experienced relationship manager capable of generating and driving new business. The ideal candidate must have high quality executive presence, proven client relationship skills and an ability to call at the CEO/CFO/Treasurer level. Strong corporate finance, credit, and transaction execution skills are required.
Specific responsibilities and required skills are listed below.
Initiate and maintain strategic dialogue with Technology clients and prospects to generate corporate finance, treasury services and credit opportunities
Proactively identify, pursue and close sales opportunities for a broad range of financial products, solutions and services
Manage complex, multi-product client relationships as the primary corporate banking representative
Partner closely with Investment Banking coverage and product partners, and coordinate the sales and service efforts of multiple internal business partners
Collaborate with credit underwriting team on analysis, structuring, negotiation, and documentation of credit requests
Represent Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries in the local banking and business communities and develop a network of referral sources
Strictly comply with all regulatory and JMPC rules, policies, and procedures
The position is for a Boston based banker, with regular travel within the United States.
