Morgan Wealth Management provides investment management products and services to high net worth and ultra high net worth investors.  It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
 
Managed Solutions and Strategy (MSS) encompasses the discretionary investment offerings for clients, including multi-asset and single asset-class strategies across Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, ETF’s, and Separately Managed Accounts (“SMAs”). The Due Diligence teams are responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring funds for inclusion in client portfolios across the global client franchise. The Operational Due Diligence team plays a critical role in understanding and escalating key business risks by evaluating processes, procedures, controls, systems, infrastructure, and service providers.
We are seeking an operational due diligence professional to work with our Operational Due Diligence team within the Investment Director team.
 
This candidate will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the operational due diligence process for long-only / liquid alternative investment managers and will collaborate with the MSS Manager Selection team.
  • Setting up and dissemination of operationally focused questionnaires across a range of investment strategies and products
  • Execution of a systematic operational due diligence process specifically tailored to ’40 Act mutual funds and UCITS funds
  • Escalation and review of questionnaires which flag on pre-defined criteria
  • Interaction with 3rd party investment managers to assess and expand on answers provided through questionnaires
Requirements:
  • Qualified Professional with 2-3 years relevant work experience
  • Related experience operations, audit, compliance, and/or consulting
  • Good understanding of the financial markets and various security types
  • Fair understanding of investment strategies and fund structures
  • Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft office programs including Excel & PowerPoint
  • The candidate should have experience performing and/or an understanding of how operational due diligence is conducted on both ‘40 Act and UCITS investment structures.
