Role:  Lead Java developer in the Macro Data Strategy team, JP Morgan CIB Technology

Position Overview
Macro Data Strategy team is part of Macro front office technology that supports the global Sales, Trading, e-commerce and research organizations across FX, Rates and Commodities lines of business. 
Primary Responsibilities
  • In close collaboration with CIB technology and external startups, oversee the delivery of data capture and distribution in and out of KDB+ platforms
  • Build real-time high-performing KDB+ publishers/subscribers in Java and Python
  • Build support tools to manage integrity and recovery of KDB+ data feeds and streams


  • Expert in core Java and Python
  • Proficiency with KDB+ and Q/K
  • Expert in socket, multithreading and low-latency app development
  • Hands-on expertise in utilizing distributed messaging platforms such Kafka, AMPS, LBM
  • Hands-on experience with ION trading technology products and APIs is a big +
  • Expertise in order entry and market data protocols such as FIX and ITCH
  • Knowledge of electronic trading across FX, Rates and Credit markets
  • Experience in leading and mentoring junior developers
  • At least Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills
