Technology Project Mgr- Infrastructure Hygiene Associate
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Technology Project Manager and Business Analyst for an established Production Delivery Team to lead complex projects and work streams using your technical as well as business expertise. The ideal candidate should be a “T-shaped” Project Manager engaged through the entire lifecycle of the initiative(s), project initiation, requirements gathering, opportunity analysis, resource planning, team engagement, project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to stakeholders. You are to be equally at home explaining the progress and recommendations of our technologists to executive leadership as you are discussing the challenges in execution with the team on the ground. You are a proactive, effective and efficient leader, ensuring progress that is reliable, measurable and meaningful. When faced with a lack of knowledge, you engage expertise to learn what you need to know in order to structure conversations, positions and recommendations. Specifically this will:
Support and assist the Infrastructure Hygiene Project Delivery Manager on:
  • Hygiene Project execution and delivery responsibilities
  • Maintaining and enforcing OS patching discipline in complex server environments
  • Lead Cyber driven vulnerability, threat and risk management
  • Build partnerships among multiple disbursed global teams
  • Create roadmaps and detailed project plans for firm wide patching
  • Communicate effectively to influence and ensure stake holder engagement
  • Executive management reporting catered to the right audience
  • Provide deep dive analysis on production stability data to drive improvement initiatives and program governance across CIB
Roles and Responsibilities
Project Execution
  • Clearly document, communicate and agree to project objectives, scope and success criteria (current state, target state, next steps).
  • Identify key stakeholders and team members.  Review and agree to roles & responsibilities and expectations.
  • Define success criteria and the “definition of done”, including operationalization and implementation of evergreen processes.
  • Create a clear execution plan with measurable milestones (with names and dates). Obtain explicit commitment for each deliverable.
  • Analyze available data, baseline metrics and trend over time to show improvement.
  • Drive! Be the force that keeps the project/program moving forward to achieve success.
  • Continuously perform realistic risk assessment, mitigate risks and remove roadblocks independently.
  • Don’t hesitate, escalate. Keep escalations fact based, and communicate issues as early as possible to make corrections with minimum impact.
  • Leverage appropriate delivery methodologies (waterfall, agile, standups, JIRA, Kanban, etc.) based on the needs of the project or program
    Develop Subject Matter Expertise
  • Clearly understand the business impact of the project in order to make objective decisions in case of conflicts, risks or issues
  • Proactively seek training and knowledge on the subject matter underpinning the project to gain credibility.  Talk the talk.  Become an expert.
  • Develop strategic vision in order to adapt the project goals to changing conditions
  • Synthesize and arrange disparate information into a meaningful whole. Identify patterns and derive meaning from distinct pieces of data
    Communication and Partnership
  • Tailor communication to the audience.  Keep executive communications concise and action oriented
  • Host weekly status meetings, and send regular status reports
  • Send meeting agendas (preferably the day before) and meeting notes with actions and due dates
  • Motivate, push and cajole team members to ensure projects are completed on time and with minimum conflict
  • Negotiate to gain agreement on resourcing, scope, schedule, cost etc., especially when the requirements for each of these are conflicting
  • Build a trusted network across the organization (CIB, GTI) to get issues resolved in a timely manner with minimum escalation
  • Self-reliance and willingness to take ownership of risks and issues
  • Experience developing and presenting materials for executive leadership
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with highly developed influencing skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced team environment while managing activities of more senior people (within work streams)
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in forecasting and tracking project financials
  • Flexible, process-oriented, organized, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • PMP Certification or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of programing experience, systems or data base administration
  • College degree or specialized training,
  • Proven ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports using Relational databases, Excel Visual Basic Application (VBA), V Lookup and formulas,  SQL queries, with experience using Crystal Reports, Python or other reporting toolsets
