The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.
 
Roles & Responsibility:
 
As an Applications Developer, you will participate in all facets of the development cycle for JPMAAM's Performance Measurement and Attribution application. This includes design, analysis, development, coding, testing and documentation. You will partner closely with business partners and the broader JPMAAM technology team. You will ensure your work products adhere to coding, architectural, and security standards as defined throughout Asset Management. A successful candidate must have relevant Java and web development experience.
 
  • Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs
  • Utilize agile methodologies and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations
  • Design, develop, code, test, debug and document
  • Work closely with clients to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes
  • Research and evaluate solutions and make recommendations.

Responsibilities:

·         Develop scalable and manageable java components/applications.

·         Active involvement in project engagements, client-facing communications and meetings ensuring client satisfaction.

·         Analyze the business requirements

·         Understand the project architecture and integration with other Java implementations.

·         Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle

·         Writing well designed, testable, efficient code

·         Prepare and produce releases of software components

 

Key Skills

·         5+ Years’ hands-on experience in developing Java, Spring applications

·         Hands on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms

·         Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

·         Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

·         Experience in the Spring Framework

·         Experience with test-driven development

·         insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

 

Desired Skills

·         Business acumen especially in the finance domain

·         Knowledge of Jira or other project management tools

·         Excellent Communications Skills

 

The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:

·         Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

·         Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, while maintaining a high degree of communication and escalation

·         Team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

·         Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work with tight deadlines

·         Organization skills, be able to prioritize task based on priority level
