JPMorgan Chase is seeking talented candidates for an Executive Director position in our APAC Global Financial Crimes team as the APAC Head of GFCC Practices. The role is part of the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) within Compliance and is responsible for the successful execution of the Compliance Practices and governance across GFCC, as well as consistency and awareness of standards and priorities across GFC.  The role also plays a critical role in key initiatives, senior management business presentations, governance of the program and the overall strategy for GFC, working closely with internal partners.


The position represents an excellent opportunity for candidates to:

  • Drive execution of the Firm’s GFCC highest priorities and top strategic initiatives

  • Develop expertise in Compliance / Financial Crimes

  • Partner with GFCC senior management

Key responsibilities:

  • Work across APAC GFCC and partner with the APAC Head of GFCC and Global Head of GFCC Practices to support regional coordination and global consistency of GFCC, including sharing and applying best practices, raising awareness standards, and working to track priorities for GFCC

  • Centrally coordinate on core program elements across APAC GFCC, including issue management and escalation, key regulatory deliverables, etc., consistent with the global GFCC model

    • Lead coordination of AML / Sanctions issue escalation through the APAC governance structure

    • Partner across regions and with the global team to streamline and align current metrics globally

    • Lead APAC GFC issue management oversight and coordinate globally to highlight themes and trends

    • Partner with the head of APAC GFC testing and monitoring to facilitate issue escalation to both APAC and Global Heads of GFCC

    • Facilitate global coordination of training & awareness by partnering with APAC GFC management team to understand regional needs and align into global plans

  • Manage and oversee the APAC GFCC governance structure and reporting, ensuring effective and efficient reporting for the APAC Head of GFCC and into relevant regional / global committees and forums

  • Manage the day to day delivery of the strategic agenda for GFCC APAC, partnering with the APAC GFCC Business Manager, and feeding into the broader global strategic agenda as applicable

  • Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (absolutely required)
