Corporate Treasury Consulting

The Treasury Services Corporate Treasury Consulting team drives deeper drive client engagement through thought leadership and experience and help drive strategic priorities. The Primary responsibility of the consultant is identify, build and lead strategic discussions with client Treasury teams on their key areas of interest, in turn providing the motivation and reason to move business to the firm. This role will work with clients with $500 to 3 Billion in revenues

 

The consultant is  also responsible for helping structure the a holistic solution for clients ranging from  accounts / liquidity structures, Payables and Receivables optimization, systems and connectivity, bank relationship management, working capital and centralization strategies to name a few.  As a Corporate Treasury Consultant you will also promote J.P. Morgan’s thought leadership by speaking at industry conferences and client events.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 
  • Thought leadership during Treasury Consulting engagements with clients as well as developing solutions that will ultimately drive clients to engage with the firm
  • Develop and execute engagement plans with strategic clients to undertake a deep dive analysis of the treasury needs with a  view to develop best in class recommendations and solutions
  • Partner with Sales and Bankers to identify opportunities across the region to help drive revenue opportunities through product and services sales
  • Provide leadership and rigor to identify operational integration issues pre and post acquisition, develop solutions and influence decisions whilst identifying where products and services can be embedded into the process to further sales growth
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and communication between J.P. Morgan lines of business (LOB), product and operational units
  • Liaise directly with client leadership where necessary to facilitate effective coordination of solutions
  • Manage the reporting and resolution of issues, risks and dependencies, proactively identify potential planning gaps, suggest mitigations to risks, actions to close issues or complete open items
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures within the Corporate Treasury Consulting team and foster analysts growth
 

  • Requires a BA/BS degree
  • Requires 7+ years of cash management, sales and relationship management experience with strong working relationships w/clients & colleagues
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and be very proactive in approach
  • Demonstrate ability to be an influential business partner who can lead through influence, mobilize internal networks and garner support from cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills and ability to present to large groups and to executive management
  • Ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization to facilitate the negotiation of critical matters on behalf of the client relationship team
  • Demonstrate success managing a virtual team where success is achieved through influence vs. direct reporting relationship
  • Demonstrates excellent/strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates excellent/strong verbal and written communication skills
