EMEA Compliance Coverage Strategy
The EMEA Compliance coverage strategy requires:
Core expertise: A good understanding of the UK and EU regulatory regimes and experience in the application of firm policy and regulatory requirements across multiple products, services and jurisdictions. In-depth knowledge of some or all of the following regulations; CASS, MiFID Transaction Reporting, EMIR, PSD 2, GDPR, CSDR, SFTR, MiFID II Post-Trade Transparency & Commodity Derivatives Position Reporting and SYSC 8 Outsourcing.
Product expertise: Knowledge of a full range of products including fx and securities, banking products, derivatives, structured products, investment funds (including Hedge Funds and Private Equity), their purpose, target clients, specific relevant risks, deal/trade/process flow and settlement. 
Position Description
The successful candidate will report to Adam Butt, VP Compliance Manager and will be a key member of a highly regarded team. The individual will provide general advisory support to the Private Bank businesses conducted in the region with a primary focus on Operations, Technology and the Client Services Group. The individual will:  
  • Assess and advise on Compliance and Regulatory issues as they pertain to various pieces of regulation including;
  • CASS
  • MiFID Transaction Reporting
  • EMIR
  • PSD 2
  • Data Privacy & GDPR
  • CSDR
  • SFTR
  • MiFID II Post-Trade Transparency & Commodity Derivative Position Reporting
  • SYSC 8 Outsourcing
  • Assist and advise on the implementation of new regulations;
  • Assess and advise on the Compliance and Regulatory implications of proposed new business, services and processes;
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures designed to ensure compliance with firm and regulatory requirements;
  • Represent Compliance in governance forums providing credible and constructive challenge
  • Identify and investigate potential rule and policy breaches and coordinate corrective action with other control functions as necessary/required;
  • Complete the annual Compliance Risk Assessment for the areas covered
Qualifications and Skills 
  • Educated to Degree Level, ideally with an appropriate Accounting or Legal qualification/background;
  • Significant experience working in a similar Compliance role; some experience or understanding of Operations would be beneficial;
  • Good working knowledge of the PRA/FCA Handbooks and EU regulations;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment;
  • Ability to gain a good working knowledge of new regulations in short space of time;
  • Attention to detail and control/quality awareness essential;
  • Good communication skills, especially the ability to articulate complex issues to a range of audiences;
  • Good organizational and planning skills;
  • Sound understanding of Private Banking businesses would be beneficial
