The Credit Support Specialist coordinates activities between the market, the Underwriter, and Wholesale Loan Operations (WLO).  Activities include the collecting of financial information, reaching out to Bankers and customers to obtain information, follow for loan documentation, loan booking and funding, and collateral release amongst other activities.
  • Gather financial information required such as financial statements, accounts receivable, borrowing base certificates from customer or Banker.
  • Utilize various systems such as WebClass, ECLIPS, CKC, Risk Analyst to identify items needed and provide to the Underwriter.
  • Monitor documentation exceptions, past due payments and missing financial information. Reach out to Banker or customer to resolve.
Loan Documents
  • Coordinate all document preparation activities through HotDocs.
  • Work jointly with underwriting associate, coordinate document preparation activities involving outside counsel.
  • Fully review draft and executed loan documents such as loan agreement, notes, guaranties, and security documents for accuracy and agreement with approved terms.
  • Coordinate with WLO, outside counsel and the Real Estate Transaction Services team to obtain third-party vendor work such as flood zone certifications, title work, insurance certificates, and UCC searches.
  • Send documents to the customer for execution.
  • Scan and send documents to UW for signature
  • Download documents from Intralinks and SyndTrak when applicable.
  • Ensure completeness of loan package and forward package to WLO.
  • Notary may be required.
  Post Closing Activities
  • Route loan documentation to WLO for booking and funding
  • Apply fees collected in conjunction with closing and identify missing fees for follow-up with client or subsequent escalation to banker/underwriting associate.
  • Follow up directly with customers, Bankers, Underwriters and attorneys for past due documentation and information.
  • Coordinate with WLO to correct any errors made in on-boarding credit facilities to the loan systems.
  • Coordinate with WLO for the release, substitution or addition of collateral.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years professional experience in loan/product operations or a credit/lending environment.
  • General knowledge of loan documentation.
  • General knowledge of credit products.
  • General experience with related credit systems such as ICRD, eCLIPS, LIQ, WebClass, CKC, DealWorks, et cetera.
  • Ability to understand simple to moderate customer structures.
  • Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi task and work in a team based environment as well as independently.
