603 – VP/Application Development Manager:
 
Mortgage Banking Technology organization is looking for a talented and highly motivated leader for building and managing its Oracle/APEX software development team.
  
Responsibilities
 
·        The person will be leading a team of 20 employees supporting critical Mortgage Banking applications 
·        This position is expected to direct the activities of software applications development including managing the development, installation, and maintenance of Oracle/APEX based software applications for Mortgage Banking business
·        Design, build and unit test the application modules on Oracle, UNIX platform
·        Engage in the planning, architecture, design, and development of solutions that satisfy business requirements
·        Drive execution capabilities and efficiencies across the organization
·        Interact with senior leadership in the US to develop strategy for teams at global sites
·        Day-to-day resource management and Project Execution
·        Ensure that the team and associated applications adhere to architecture standards, risk management and security guidelines keep abreast with the latest developments in third party and custom development technologies
·        Partner closely with testing and production support teams
Education
·        Bachelors in a Computer Science, or related field
 
Experience
·        12+ years of software development experience of Oracle Database 11g,  PL/SQL programming, building stored procedures, Oracle Application Express (APEX), UNIX Shell Scripts, Oracle 10g Application Server
·        6+ years of technical leadership - Developing and managing high-performing teams
·        Proven track record of high quality software delivery
·        Experience with full software development lifecycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, source control, maintenance and deployments.
·        Must have strong experience in Agile tools and methodology, specifically in JIRA, SVN
·        A Minimum of 6 years of experience with Oracle APEX Developer,  SQL, PL/SQL, APEX Configuration and Setup, Performance Tuning and a strong understanding of relational database concepts
·        Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, jQuery, or  ExtJS Javascript frameworks preferred
·        A minimum of 3 years of experience using Control M is preferred
·        A minimum of 2 years of experience on Web Application Security concepts, Code Coverage tools/practices preferred
·        Software development experience in Java/J2EE platforms is a plus
·        Extensive Project and Resource management experience
·        Proven leadership and organizational management
·        Firm understanding of end-to-end solution architecture, business process management, and enterprise application integration of third party and custom developed solutions
·        Experience in developing business cases and present complex ideas quickly and effectively
 
·        Experience working with geographically distributed teams, including offshore
·       Strong time management, priority allocation and task management skills. Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent projects without sacrificing schedule or quality
 
·        Excellent written and verbal communication along with presentation skills is a must
·        A demonstrated ability to mentor, motivate and influence others
·        Commitment to excellence, entrepreneurial and self-motivated
·        Ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment

·        Ability to multi-task

Preferred Skills & Experience - include specifics, as above:
·        Prior Experience in a similar role for a Financial Services organization
·        Mortgage Banking or Consumer Loan industry experience  a plus
·        Multinational captive site or overseas experience
·        Experience as a second-level manager a plus
