This is starting as an individual contributor role, partnering with other teams, with expectation of building a small, high performance team as proof of value delivered.


A great opportunity to shape the future of models and analytics for the #1 Global Investment Banking franchise in greenfield space for Global Investment Banking (IBD, M&A & Corporate Finance). The successful quant/engineer will partner closely with bankers to explore multiple scenarios:

  • Deal specific opportunity analysis
  • Industry and country analysis
  • Bespoke models working closely with senior business people e.g. Corporate Finance Advisory
  • Advanced modelling (rethinking traditional excel banker models)


This will be achieved by:

  • Working to investigate, test and develop new predictive models
  • Partnering with data science team as well as CRM teams to drive analytics alerts using machine learning appropriately
  • Data normalization, engineering and management (potentially including sourcing)
  • Industrializing the workflow and processes around effective models/analyses will also be a priority


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying solutions


Desirable to have some of below (but not essential):

  • Masters or PhD in Quantitative finance/engineering
  • Machine learning tools, like TensorFlow
  • Big data, and big data toolset experience
  • Python; Matlab
  • Knowledge of M&A, Equity and Debt Capital Markets very valuable.
