We currently have an opening for a Senior Application Support Analyst within our Market Data Services group.
The role will focus on supporting a tick store environment which consists of high performance Linux systems, direct exchange feeds, and a market data platform that is based on the KDB and One Market Data product suite. The team is also accountable for maintaining a number of other critical market data platforms within the bank.
The individual must have exceptional troubleshooting skills, work well in a team environment and will be responsible for leading efforts such as implementing production changes, communicating and interacting with lines of business on issues or outages, coordinating exchange-driven changes, developing tools to streamline production support processes and providing resolutions to production issues.
The role involves working a shift pattern to cover core trading hours and some weekend work will also be required.

We are looking for high achievers who are focused on delivery and clients, are good communicators and who feel the role sounds interesting and stimulating.
•Experienced in managing a production environment and disciplined in following established protocol for release management, change management and incident management.
•Experience supporting a large KDB and/or One Market Data platform that processes and stores a high volume of market data across asset classes
•Hands on experience of supporting a large Linux (RedHat) deployment and troubleshooting system problems. Familiarity with kernel fine tuning parameters an added advantage.
•Experience of working with exchanges, direct feeds and Market Data Intermediaries (e.g. Reuters and Bloomberg)
•Good understanding of NUMA architecture based systems
•Scripting Languages – Perl, Python
•Understanding of TCP/IP stack, various routing delivery mechanisms, and switch and routing topologies
•Hands-on experience with monitoring system, such as ITRS Geneos and similar products
