The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO). CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency




This is a Coding Architect position within Financial Reporting Architecture team.

The role affords opportunities to gain cross-project experience in a wide range of applications while contributing to better architecture, design, coding and testing practices.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Work with diverse project teams to provide expertise in software infrastructures, code quality, Python and testing practices.

  • Improvement of performance and scalability of existing solutions

  • Re-architecture of existing solution to work on a cloud and/or take advantage of big data technologies










  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in CS or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of professional working experience

  • Proven track record developing large-scale systems with comprehensive suite of automated unit and regression tests

  • Experience developing multi-tier architectures and parallel computing

  • Passionate about technology, SDLC best practices, CI/CD, code quality, and thorough testing

  • Deep understanding of extensibility, maintenance and long term quality aspects of software development

  • Experience developing multi-tier architectures and parallel computing

  • Working knowledge of SQL databases

  • Excellent software design and implementation skills

  • Experience with git, automated CI build/orchestration/test systems and release processes

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.

  • Excellent Python development skills

  • Experience with numpy/pandas

  • Experience with improving performance of Python applications and performance profiling

  • Strong Java is a big plus

  • Experience with SPARK is a plus

  • Experience with cloud computing is a plus

  • Experience with no-sql databases is a plus

  • Experience developing Restful APIs is a plus

  • Experience with Jenkins is a plus

  • Experience with TDD is a plus

  • Willingness to take initiative, ownership of work, overcome obstacles and take it through to completion, working individually or as part of this team of developers sharing the technology and code base
