In partnership with Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and others, we deliver

solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients - the JPMorgan Chase CFO and Corporate Finance Organizations,

 

as well as all line of business CFO teams.

Data Acquisition and Hosting organization within Risk and Finance technology is chartered with the mandate to

streamline and single source all Transaction and Position as well as reference data strategically with the aim of removing

redundancy, driving efficiencies and establishing a single version of reconciled data for consumption across firmwide Risk

and Finance Organization

 

Application Developer

 

Individual filling role will be working on the team building platform capable of processing daily several millions transactions

and positions, calculate risk presented by the current actual as well as model-based future states of the market, build

multidimensional picture of corporate risk profile, and provide ability to analyze the profile in real time. The target liquidity

risk platform utilizes massively parallel computing platform with ability to scale in horizontal and vertical directions,

partitioning and pipelining, modern in-memory and non-relational data management principles, and state of the art

methods of user interaction.

 

The individual is going to be part of the dynamic team of highly talented individuals and will be encouraged to contribute

ideas, effort to design, and implementation, and learn new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies.

 

Key Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:

The individual is expected to design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document programming to satisfy business

requirements for large, complex project. This person is expected to adhere to architecture standards, risk management

and security policies, best practice development (e.g., estimating models), and perform code reviews.

Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals

have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver drive success. In partnership with Global Finance

Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key

clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable,

reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.

 

As an Applications Developer you will be working on development, testing of new core business application, support and

re-engineering of existing ones. You will be heavily involved into design and development of technology solutions to

address business needs, as well as to demonstrate effective and efficient delivery and focus on the strategic goals. You

will also have to adhere to IT policies and architectural standards throughout the whole software development life cycle to

comply with the RFT(Risk & Finance Technology) adopted Stability, Security and Standards Rules of the Road.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems and at least 6 years of financial application

development/consulting experience.

Hands-on technical expertise on key technology components JAVA 1.5+/J2EE, message protocols, caching

technologies.

Experience in database development (preferably Oracle) including stored procedures, table functions, etc.

Strong grasps of fundamental computer science concepts: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, object oriented

design, multi-threaded programming.

Hands-on experience in working with Java frameworks like Spring, JDBC.

Experience with industry standard tools like SVN, Maven, Eclipse.

Knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting.

Exposure to Bigdata, Hadoop – a big plus.

Understanding of application security concepts and development methodologies is a plus.

Adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.

Detailed understanding of system development lifecycle, infrastructure best practices and risk management concepts

knowledge of business system interactions, infrastructure dependencies etc.

Experience in building and enhancing of existing frameworks
