Overview
A critical priority for Asset & Wealth Management is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The AWM Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AM and needed to run our business, such as client data, reference data, product data, securities and pricing data, transactions and holdings, and index data. The AWM CDO is positioned in the AWM Operations division.  We work with the AWM business and Firmwide CDO to analyze data, ensure data governance and data quality standards are in place, look for efficiencies in business processes, and work with our technology partners to implement solutions.
 
The Senior Data Steward will be part of the Investment Products and Funds Data Strategy team which is driving the build and adoption of strategic data sources, data governance and data operating procedures for Investment Products data such as Funds, SMAs and Market Data. Key programs include the creation of global golden source repositories and standard operating models to support full product lifecycles, vendor data management, quality assurance and data governance including standard data definitions, data quality criteria, data lineage, and retirement of legacy applications. The Senior Data Steward will collaborate across functions and work streams with project/program managers, business and data analysts, data governance leads, business SMEs, operations, and technology teams.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
 
§Create artifacts to support data sourcing requirements, data definitions, data quality criteria and metrics.
§Work with AWM CDO Data governance team to define data elements aligned with firm wide data standards/process and in partnership with business consumers Document and track indicators of performance and quality metrics.
§Drive business term lifecycle management (from definition to data availability on AWM strategic data store)
§Support & manage data quality cases & issues through structured analysis for problem & collaborating with Tech and Business owners in remediation efforts.
§Drive data ownership among various stakeholders through continuous collaboration as part of data support operating model.
§Collaborate with business, operations, and technology to document data related business requirements and various process flows
§Create and manage progress reports and analysis for Funds related projects or programs.
§Create, manage, and provide periodic progress and status reports; create and update materials, as required, for the senior manager steering committees, data working groups, and other data domain specific program activities and meetings.
§Solicit input from business constituents and achieve long-term strategic solutions for business partners.
§Manage key partnerships with key stakeholders including FW data management, AM Lines of Business, Technology and Corporate Functions

Qualifications 
§  5-10 years of experience in the Finance, Insurance, Consulting, or Technology industries
§Minimum of 5 years of experience in a major financial services organization, or consulting practices with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience
§Work experiences should have included performing three or more of the following functions: data mapping, business analysis, technical analysis, process flow mapping, project management, and/or auditing
§Experience in managing large scale complex projects across different lines of business
§Excellent verbal and written communication especially with senior level management
§Excellent presentations skills
§Prior experience with AM Global Investment Management Products and Funds data preferred
§Solid understanding of the financial services industry and businesses; has a particular interest in wealth management and asset management
§Strong leadership skills with experience working in a demanding global environment
§Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, issue resolution and negotiation
§ Proven ability to act independently with excellent decisioning skills
§ Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives at same time
