We are seeking a motivated, self-starter who has:
  • Minimum of 5 years technology-based experience in DevOps Engineering to provide strategic direction and implementation of  DevOps practices for CCB Auto Finance pipeline and IT Development practices, scaling and metrics, as well as running day-to-day operations from development to production for Chase Mainframe and JAVA Platform.
  • Working knowledge of setting up Mainframe, JAVA test platforms for SQA/UAT Testers.  The DevOps Engineer will work on a broad array of critical issues including automation, system integration, application configuration, environment availability, and interoperability.
  • Participate in status meetings and provide regular updates on project and release batch cycle run times and environment health checks.
  • The individual will work closely with developers, project managers, network engineers and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution.
  • The candidate will specifically work to manage and execute software release builds and deployments for Java, Java Script, Mobile applications running on Tomcat, Apache, WebSphere, IIS App and Web Servers. 
  • Given the wide range of applications supported by AUTO IT team, the candidate will also be expected automate the test batch cycle end-to-end for JAVA and Mainframe updates on different platforms. These deployments will span Development, Certification, QA, Performance and Production environments.  Development in the Dev group takes place in Columbus, Delaware, and Offshore India during all hours of the day.
  • The candidate is expected to work closely with the development teams who manage UI, middleware, and back-end code.
  • The candidate is also expected provide some extent of Subversion, GIT/Stash & Bitbucket support for all different code sets across the AUTO IT team.
  • Experience in build automation using Changeman Shell, ANT, Maven, Gulp, Jenkins and Perl is a must.
  • Experience using Chef, Puppet, Ansible is desired.
  • Candidate must have through understanding of Software Configuration Management (SCM) and release process and best practices.
  • This position will report to a DevOps Lead, who will coordinate with various teams in AUTO IT team to execute on the delivery approach to meet multiple concurrent project delivery needs
  • Development exposure to Java, JS and .Net technologies. 
  • Experience with Ant, Maven, Ant, Shell, Perl, Chef, Ansible and Puppet for script automation.
  • Subversion, GIT/Stash and Bitbucket administration and deployment skills, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge base on WebSphere, .Net, Tomcat Application Servers. Experience with Atlassian tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Jira, and confluence.
  • Experience with Windows, Mainframe platforms, and JAVA
  • Good development/scripting skills JCL, JAVA, VSAM, CICS, NDM / FTP, TSO/ISPF, Control-M, Change Man, and ZEKE scheduler) (or CA-7 or equivalent)
  • Experience with MSSQL, DB2, Oracle and other databases preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud automation highly desirable.
