The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.
Card Services Controllers organization is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of Card Services’ financial statements and controls over the transaction cycle. The group performs critical reporting and controls functions for the organization, including legal entity, financial and regulatory. The team is also responsible for improving ongoing processes, and ensuring execution and implementation of the overall financial architecture.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Populating internally and externally reported data from various system reports or data requests.
  • Tracking and reporting to management progress of report completion.
  • Ensure all reports are completed timely and accurately and are in agreement with other externally reporting information.
  • Assisting in research and error resolution.
  • Partner with various Controllers, Finance, MIS and operations teams on data collection and process improvement.
  • Maintain proper documentation of policies and procedures - including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Chartered Accountant with emphasis in Finance, Accounting or other quantitative/business discipline.
  • 6+ years experience in the financial services industry.
  • 6+ years experience in a finance or accounting reporting role
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Ability use analytical methods to assist in research to remediate data quality issues.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and take on different roles
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter with ability to take initiative and constantly challenge the status quo
  • Team player that can partner effectively across organization to help drive report/project completion within deadlines
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality are critical.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and advanced data manipulation functions is preferred.
