The Market Risk Projects Services team , a group within the CFO Risk organization, supports both tactical and strategic projects that impact the broad Risk organization.  The group is looking to fill a Vice President level role with a Project Manager.  The person will be responsible for finding effective solutions to business problems, along with preparing analysis on data gaps, and leading cross-functional teams on the delivery of projects which impact coverage, methodology, reporting, middle office, and finance functions.  The majority of the current project work is centered around the delivery of the Market Risk Evolution (MARIE) program which is a multi-year strategic infrastructure project.

 

Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Business Analysis of projects ranging from strategic to ad-hoc enhancements, inclusive of operating model projects
  • Drive end to end delivery of components of the MARIE program
  • Support of project documentation generation across the project life cycle 
  • Identification of potential system/process enhancements.
  • Assisting in the development of new tools or projects to enhance our market risk reporting, data aggregation, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Liaising with technologists in the business and risk around strategic and tactical initiatives, including those related to VaR, sVaR, and other risk processes
  • 7-10 years of Business Analysis or Project Management Experience within Financial Services
  • Experience in a Market Risk, Product Control, Middle Office, or other risk management experience preferred
  • Strong end to end controls background
  • Knowledge of VaR, sVar, Market Data, Volcker, Default Exposure, or risk sensitivities a plus
  • Strong Project Management Skills, ability to gain consensus among team and drive initiatives to completion effectively
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and oral.
  • Comfortable with conveying complex requests to Technology, Operations groups and senior managers in various risk disciplines
  • Advanced technical skills in Excel are required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Visio
  • Strong analytical skills in interpretations of data and identification of anomalies.
  • Good Leadership/Management skills and comfortable leading others
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to identify, research, and escalate critical issues.
  • Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment.
