To assist our hubs and lines of business owners in designing their respective operating models to ensure the proper control environment for new accounting functionality, as well as client specific procedures, are included and implemented by the teams.  The individual will work closely with the client at the start of planning to understand client specific requirements. This individual needs to have a strong understanding of accounting operations and downstream impacts of processes within accounting applications.
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate hub engagement to ensure all onshore/offshore teams are implementing their standard operating procedures and control environment separate from the client specific requirements
  • Document client specific requirements and work with all teams to test and implement prior to go live of process/conversion
  • Coordinate access & entitlements ahead of conversion dates – EEA & EDA team responsible for full task, this aspect is merely assisting teams to initiate the IBIDs and holding them accountable
  • Identify WINS functionality issues through daily processing, and work through solutions with FIS/WINS Prod Support
  • Design a Newton workflow and test additional functionality (i.e. dependencies) required for the overall ops model  
  • Coordination and engagement of Fin Rep, Tax, Boston ACG (audit), Custody. Help to define the end state for alternate views (FR & Tax), engage the appropriate owners of each view to be involved from the starting point of the conversion
  • Manage a team throughout all POCs, Schedule and lead meetings with various teams, document accomplishments and track items to completion
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in the financial services industry
  • Bachelor degree required, degree preference is Finance, Accounting or Economics, CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Strong technical understanding of the investment company industry
  • Professional and proactive approach to work, problem solver
  • Leadership & Motivation; the ability to manage change and deliver results
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced analytical skills & strong client service orientation
  • Strong organizational skills, concerns for quality & accuracy and working to strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage a high performing team
