Banking Technology Japan – Application Owner / Technical PM Role (Associate/VP)
Job Description
The candidate will be managing Japan banking applications for Treasury Services in Japan, which includes cash management, domestic and cross-border payments and clearing business.  She/he will be driving the e2e SDLC across various in-house systems, vendor applications, and clearing house systems, and ensuring the appropriate technology controls are in place.  She/he will be also managing the Technology project delivery and solutions for the highly dynamic business needs of Treasury Services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the stability and Risk of the applications.
  • Maintain hygiene of the application, fulfilling audit and risk control requirements for both internal and external
  • Strong communication and partnership with the key business stakeholdersParticipate in key global or regional projects for expansion of the business in Japan
  • 5-10 years of software engineering and Technology project management experience, preferably in financial/banking industry.  
  • Native level Japanese language skill (read/write) required, with business level English, to effectively work with external and internal stake holders.  
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiarity on SWIFT, FXYCS, ZENGIN, ANSER Clearing and Japan Banking business and regulatory requirements will be advantageous.
Technical Competencies
  • Experience in Java and J2EE preferred but not compulsory
  • Experience in managing distributed applications running on Unix/Linux/Oracle
  • Good understanding of messaging middleware (MQ etc) and Database design.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology as part of project execution
