Position Summary
The Escrow Product Sales Specialist will be responsible for developing the Escrow sales effort in Asia, based in Hong Kong. The key focus will be on enhancing our escrow business franchise in the region by increasing sales revenues and deal volume.
 
 
Key Accountabilities/Major Responsibilities
  • Deliver agreed sales targets for the region, by promoting escrow into intermediaries in the region, as well as partnering with Corporate and Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, and Private Bank businesses.
  • Manage the client facing tasks in the region from delivering presentations, product specific training and ongoing sales calls to acting as the local escalation point for client service issues.
  • Develop strong working relationship with regional management and internal bankers. Conduct ongoing product training to internal teams.
  • Negotiate fees, terms and conditions and investment options on escrow deals, in conjunction with the regional product, client services and liquidity teams, respectively.
  • Manage end-to-end structuring and execution of complex transactions, working closely with escrow client services team.   
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues globally to develop and sell cross-border solutions, targeting both incoming and outgoing flows from Asia.
  • Identify capability gaps and specific local requirements to the product development team.
  • Strong sales background who has the capability to identify business opportunities .
  • Strong communication skills (English and Mandarin) to effectively sell the product to internal and external parties.
  • Confidence to manage relationships with clients and intermediary executives, as well as JPM management in the region.
  • Analytical ability to understand local market requirements and determine appropriate strategy for the product.
  • Collaborative behavior to get internal support for business objectives and ensure high degree of teamwork to satisfy client expectations.
  • A good understanding of risk and the ability to detect and highlight risk issues.
  • Graduate or undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
  • 10-15+ years of international banking, cash management and/or escrow experience. Prior knowledge of Asian M&A and PE markets will be an advantage.
