Investor Services Description

Investor Services & Financing is a business within JPMorgan that provides premier security servicing that helps institutional investors, alternative asset managers, broker dealers and equity issuers optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue. The Controller organization is responsible for the integrity (completeness and accuracy) of financial information for Investor Services, and providing timely actionable information for Investor Services & Financing Leadership to effectively manage the businesses capital position.

 

Prime Services Description

Prime Services consists of two sub-lines of businesses:  Prime Brokerage & Equity Financing and Global Clearing. 

 

Prime Brokerage and equity financing providing global execution, financing, clearing, portfolio management, and advice to hedge fund clients, and Trading Services consisting of Agent Lending and the Depositary Receipt business.

 

Global Clearing is at the center of regulatory reform as well as the cross section of the Corporate and Investment Bank.  At a time of significant industry change, this role represents an opportunity to gain expertise in an area of focus within the bank and markets.  Global Clearing is at the forefront of significant regulatory reform, including but not limited to: Mandatory clearing of OTC Derivatives, Basel III Agency Clearing rules as well as Basel III Leverage Ratio implementation.

 

Job Description

This multifaceted role provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to be involved in several top priorities of Finance and Business Management.  The successful candidate will work on a small team and gain an understanding of capital, balance sheet, liquidity, focusing mainly on liquidity, and become a valued partner to controller teams across Investor Services & Financing.  The position has significant visibility to product controllers, central teams and senior management as well as the opportunity to learn in a fast-paced environment.

 

The successful candidate will have strong accounting, project management, communication, and teamwork skills which will be critical to developing a partnership with Controllers across Investor Services & Financing.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for Prime Brokerage liquidity items including Weekly & Monthly Stress reporting, involvement in Stress Forecasting, monthly and quarterly reporting, etc
  • Further refine Liquidity analysis, managing to targets and help establish best in practice standards for Prime Services
  • Think strategically to improve procedures; drive process enhancement projects; partner with CIB Finance to review, test and implement process changes
  • Accounting/finance experience
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Project management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple tasks and requests in a fast moving environment coupled with proven ability to prioritize and meet key deliverables
