Firmwide Data Management (FDM) was created with the mission to help improve the quality, integrity and reliability of the firm’s critical data. It is actively contributing to the firm’s efforts in growing the business, reducing costs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The organization’s objectives are to explain the path that critical data follows, improve data quality, reduce ambiguity and inconsistent terminology, enhance transparency, rationalize the number of replicated data assets, and improve firmwide-sharing of information and best practices.  To achieve all of this, FDM serves as the governing body to create firmwide standards that drive consistent data management practices, develop technologies and processes to support data management processes, partner with LOBs to embed data management best practices and capabilities, and ensure sustainability by refining, measuring, and improving the firm’s ability to manage data.
 

The Data Consumer Integration Team is looking for Vice President level candidates who will be responsible for delivering our data capabilities for one or more critical business imperatives (e.g., MIFID, CCAR; Models).

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with our critical business initiative “clients” to define their data requirements all the way through to resolving their critical data quality issues
  • Manage large, complex projects including program oversight and execution (Governance, Project Plans, Stakeholder/Communication Plans, Requirements, Testing, Design, Issue/Risk identification and resolution, project resourcing, project budget, etc.)
  • Develop Firmwide Data Management metrics and reporting content to ensure our metrics tell a story of business impact
  • Collaborate and help define best practices and enhancements to be included in standards and procedures for projects and for work as it is integrated into BAU processes over time
  • Provide meaningful input on and/or develop presentations to senior management
  • Partner with business management teams on Firmwide data management communications

  • 8+ years of program and/or project management experience required, with particular focus in the data space highly preferred
  • LOB/Corporate Function Business Process knowledge gained in the line or Technology functional support of project
  • Strong core finance technical skills and solid understanding of finance processes, infrastructure and systems
  • Able to work quickly and with attention to detail, juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a varied, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead across LOBs/Functions and geographies; strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Able to communicate effectively, drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment
  • Consulting experience from top tier management firm
  • Bachelor’s degree required, CPA/CFA helpful
