The Credit Bureau Operations Reporting Integrity Analyst position is responsible for developing and analyzing data gathering functions that will ensure credit reporting inconsistencies are detected and corrected accordingly.  

This is a CCB / Cross Line of Business role including Auto, Card, Deposit, Mortgage, and Student as well as Small Business Repository Furnishing.

Analyst serves as an integral participant in the development of new system functionality and the testing there of.  In addition they ensure data is furnished in accordance with Metro 2 guidelines via execution of scripting set to detect illogical conditions.   

Their data review and analysis skills are integral in their collection and presentation to leadership as to identify opportunities in support of business integrity, unit or function activities. 

Types of analysis and reporting will include but not limited to:  SQL and SAS writing and updating of data queries, system enhancement reviews, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), illogical data review, quality review, workflow analysis, process improvement, cross functional work flow analysis.

 

Duties Include :

  • Serve as Metro 2 data expert in the development of functional design for data furnishing enhancements.
  • Write, validate and approve BRDs requesting data analysis
  • SQL and SAS writing and updating of data queries to identify, investigate, and validate possible illogical furnishing 
  • Drive process improvement ideas into implementation
  • Collection and analysis of credit reporting data for deficiencies and implementation of  processes to ensure data quality/integrity
  • Implementation and execution of daily/monthly quality reviews to ensure processes are in compliance with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
  • Analysis and creation of requisite modifications to existing processes with the introduction of enhancements
  • Participate in data furnishing business initiatives and assist with all levels of metric reporting
  • Identify improvements/gaps and update BRD/request improvement to be completed
  • Review system enhancement requirement documents and write effective test plan/scripts storing all data in accordance with company standard in Chase approved tool (ALM)
  • Provide all applicable testing documentation to management (status updates, testing details, issues encountered, post-enhancement validations, etc.)
Qualifications
  • 2+ years FCRA/Metro 2 credit reporting experience
  • 2+ years Data Analysis
  • SQL experience, writing and updating
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical and issue resolution skills
  • Articulate, detail oriented, and ability to work independently
  • Good oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and ability to influence
  • Strong partnership and team building skills
  • Must be able to meet deadline and manage stress.
  • Project Management as well as user acceptance experience preferred
  • Prefer familiarity with business application including; MSP, VLS, RCV1, C3, ALA, and CALS
