The CCB Technology Finance and Business Management (F&BM) team supports the Home Lending Technology (HLT) and Data Ecosystems (DES) CIO and CFO by providing pertinent and timely analysis of HLT and DES financial performance. This role is primarily responsible for managing the outgoing allocations process, analysis of all incoming technology allocations and the management reporting associated with both.

F&BM operates in close cooperation with the following groups to prepare management reports and presentations and to achieve departmental goals:

  • HLT and DES CIO and direct reports
  • HLT and DES CFO
  • HLT and DES P&A (Planning & Analysis)
  • CCB Technology Finance
  • CCB Controllers

 

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Preparation, consolidation, review and detailed analysis of  a number of key financial activities including, but not limited to:
    • Monthly allocations analysis (incoming and outgoing)
    • Budget and Mid-Year-Forecast support
    • Taxonomy/portfolio reporting
    • Analyzing business performance drivers
    • Tracking ongoing efficiency programs
  • Execution of the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars
  • Lead additional one-off and repeatable analyses as required by senior management
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the lines of business and corporate functions areas

Support ad hoc projects as necessary

  • Over 3 years professional experience in handling and analyzing large amounts of data
  • Experience in the consolidation, review, analysis and presentation of Financials
  • Experience with internal financial systems such as Essbase and SAP preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
  • People skills
  • Self-starter who is driven to excel in all aspects of their role and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
  • Previous experience in a finance / planning role in banking or financial services strongly preferred
