The CIB Treasury Services (TS) Business Transformation Group is a strategic and execution focused group that works closely with the teams selling the firm’s TS products: TS Sales, Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Consumer & Community Banking, Chase Merchant Services and Commercial Card. The group also supports TS business and staff areas on a project basis, addressing topics at the top of senior management agendas. Projects are typically team-based and include heavy interaction and collaboration with senior executives both within TS and across the Firm. The group reports to the Head of CIB TS.
The key responsibilities of the
Establishing strong firmwide partnerships with the Commercial Bank, Chase Merchant Services, and Commercial Cards;
Developing a strategy that refines cross-LOB sales and operating models and identifies opportunities to drive our commercialization and international growth; and
Overseeing the governance of client coverage and investment prioritization.
We are seeking an Analyst or Associate to join the group in defining business growth strategies, solving complex problems and execution issues critical to the TS business firmwide. The position represents an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain a comprehensive understanding of the TS business and the broader firmwide wholesale payments businesses, hone problem solving, communications and leadership skills, and advance to other roles in the TS or across the firm.
Specific capabilities required for the position include:
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way, and achieve goals without direct control over resources
Strong emerging end-to-end generalist problem solving skills, e.g.,
Defining and deconstructing problems
Prioritizing issues, analysis, and team capacity
Structuring and building quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses
Performing competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources
Working collaboratively with team members across LOBs and staff areas
Identifying implications and “so whats” of data and analysis with the team
Contributing to concise communication materials for senior management
3+ years of experience in wholesale banking; understanding of the TS business a plus
An outstanding ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)
Diverse problem solving experience, such as experience with a top management consulting firm or in other generalist problem solving environments across financial services sectors
Ability to influence across business lines, cultures and various functions
Strong project and process management skills
Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers
Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint
