Job Description:
The Chase Loyalty Solutions Team is responsible for the middleware platform underpinning the Chase Ultimate Rewards experience for our most engaged customers.  It is a complex real time environment, supporting a large ecommerce business.
As an Java Software Engineer-Lead, you will plan, architect, design, analyze, develop, code, test, debug and document necessary artifacts to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. You will also be needed to advise on integrations with other vendor platforms.  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development (e.g. leveraging frameworks), mentoring less experienced team members, code reviews. 
  • 10+ years of application development experience
  • 5+ years of Hands-on working experience with full lifecycle application development.
  • Experience in creating and consuming RESTful and SOAP based web services and JavaScript Object Notation(JSON)
  • 2-3 years of eperience in Spring.  Experience with other Java frameworks such as Spring Mode/View/Controller (MVC) Spring Web Service or Hibernate a plus
  • Working experience with Web server and J2EE application server such as JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, or Apache.
  • Experience with RDBMS such as Oracle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, problem solving, time management and decision-making skills. Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be self-motivated and well-rounded team player. Ability to contribute to the overall success of the team by meeting shared goals, demonstrating the team's values, and fulfilling team's commitments to the customer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and/or supporting an enterprise size solution
  • Experience with all phases of the development life cycle
  • Agile experience
  • experience with Cloud / container based deployments

Experience with the following is desired:

  • Enthusiasm for Continuous Integration and Automated test execution and building tools such as Jenkins, Selenium or Maven.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks, such as JUnit and Mockito.
  • Experience with source control management tools incl. SVN, GIT/Stash.
