Description:

 

Americas Finance & Business Management is seeking a professional based in New York supporting Macro and Equity Derivative Sales & Marketing.

 

Sales & Marketing professionals help corporate and institutional clients navigate the breadth of the J.P. Morgan’s product offerings across Markets and Investor Services. The Sales teams you support focus on matching the firm’s resources to our clients’ needs which is done through our traditional sales force organized by product, sector and geography, as well as through our e-Sales professionals.

The Business Manager (BM), as part of the Americas CIB Sales Business Management organization, provides support to the business, and is critical for driving analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls, strategic initiatives. 

 

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Drive Growth and Strategy

  • Work across the CIB markets organization
  • Provide analytics for business decisions
  • Organize and participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews, town halls and other management presentations
  • Track progress to ensure delivery
  • Act as trusted partner to business head
  • Ensure implementation of business strategies and help drive change
  • Escalate issues and roadblocks
  • Drive competitive benchmarking & market analysis
  • Prepare and communicate business strategy, performance and priorities

 

Optimize Business Performance

  • Lead annual Plan / Budget process
  • Drive regular expense reviews to ensure targets are met
  • Assist in investment / productivity initiatives (headcount, technology spend, operations, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with policies

 

Manage Business Risks

  • Identify, assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to do business:
  • Lead NBIAs (New Business Initiatives)
  • CSA (Control Self Assessment)
  • Resiliency planning

Qualifications:

  • Business Management / Finance / COO experience
  • Macro (Rates, Currencies and Commodities), Financing and F&O product background and knowledge preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
  • Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior management
  • Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions
  • Self starter able to prioritize key tasks effectively
  • Well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
  • Energetic, self motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge of working within a fast-paced and demanding working environment
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills; proficient Excel skills
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
