The Equity & FICC Finance Platform DevOps team is looking to hire a highly motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join the team in the expansion and integration of the team group globally. The successful candidate will be responsible for assistance with our user/technical requirements, design, development, implementation and support of the global equity finance and securities lending systems, have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively manage their time to deliver objectives.

  • Solid understanding of core programming principals

  • A strong sense of good practice with respect to development techniques

  • An understanding of the software development lifecycle process and OO programming

  • Knowledge in security practices

  • Ideally understands securities lending/repo/collateral management flows or demonstrates an eagerness to learn the business fully

Responsibilities

  • Design software to improve availability, scalability and efficiency of the financing platform

  • Solve problems and automate responses for recurrent issues

  • Develop tools and applications to automate and support applications

  • Gathering and refining requirements from stakeholders

  • Working with developers in other component teams to ensure consistent integration of services across teams

  • Troubleshoot production issues

  • Participate in on-call rotation


Agency Lending Developer

Technologies

  • A strong understanding of Java and Python including Cloud / Web development

  • Experience with Oracle and Sybase databases

  • An understanding of object oriented design principles

  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle process and the tools involved  e.g. GIT, TeamCity, Jenkins, JIRA, Maven

  • Experience with a continuous delivery environment
