The Sworn Documents Change Management team provides centralized prioritization, planning, design and execution leadership for business initiated projects, cross-impacted projects and production maintenance that cut across multiple lines of business and functional units. As a key area in the project delivery lifecycle, the Change Management team partners across these lines of business, functional units and IT partners to define strategies and approaches for QA and User Acceptance Testing activities, as well as setting and stewarding sound quality assurance methodologies.
As a Business Testing Project Manager Sr., you will be responsible for directing and managing all test planning and execution activities throughout the project delivery lifecycle across the Sworn Documents book of work. This position requires a strong self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual, cross-organizational team without formal direction, and who has senior level interpersonal skills such as influence management, negotiation, and analytical / problem-solving skills. You will manage testing activities of projects and production maintenance, from requirements through post implementation, working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies. This will include coordinating resources across one or more projects, monitoring project progress (risks & issues), test planning, test data preparation, test execution, defect management, preparing and presenting progress reports for management and collecting, documenting and archiving all required testing artifacts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create and execute detailed test strategies / plans, using standard project processes and tools
Define and drive program / project test strategy for alignment and execution by test teams
Identify, create and execute User Acceptance Test scripts, including business end-to-end processes
Direct all UAT test activities, monitor progress, track project plan, issues, risks, and set testing priorities
Escalate project issues and risks appropriately and drive them to resolution
Partner with key IT and business parties to ensure effective use of methodologies and communicate test strategies, test results and performance through testing teams
Participate and represent testing team on project team meetings
Manage project defect calls
Develop and deliver standard and ad hoc reports and presentations on testing progress, defect tracking and risk assessments for management and stakeholders
Coordinate and validate production implementations for assigned projects
Assess risk to quality based on results of verification and validation and making appropriate recommendations.
Coordinate with other Quality Assurance / Test Leads on projects that have downstream or cross line of business impacts
Collect and store all required compliance artifacts for the project across the project life cycle
Establish, maintain and manage strategic business and IT relationships
Drive root cause analysis for business testing gaps and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
Proactively identify obstacles and collaborate with team to identify options/solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or experience and a minimum of 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Program or Project Management capacity in IT or Business environment; Sworn Documents experience is preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of Consumer & Community Bank (CCB) IT and its supporting Lines of Businesses strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience in leading cross-line of business projects and initiatives
Extensive experience establishing and managing program/project test strategies and key milestones
Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies
Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence change and communicate with diverse stakeholders
Excellent relationship and communication skills, highly collaborative – can build rapport and credibility
Proficient creating senior management presentations using MS PowerPoint
A demonstrated bias for action, creative problem-solving, and achieving fulfillment by “creating order out of chaos”
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective meeting facilitation and presentation skills
Strong organization and multitasking skills
Experience managing resources that are geographically distributed and culturally diverse
Intermediate to Advanced project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office application suite and familiarity with Microsoft Project is required
Experience with testing tools such as Jira and Quality Center/ALM is preferred
Experience with collaboration tools such as SharePoint, OneNote and Confluence is preferred
Exceptional project and process management skills
High degree of initiative and autonomy but must be able to function successfully as part of a team (in person and virtual)
Honed consulting, influence, and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes
Innovative and creative thinker; able to generate new ideas, forward-thinker, thought-leader
Excellent judgment and decision making
