The CIB Regulatory Commitments Team is part of the wider CIB Controls department and has responsibility for providing increased transparency and greater senior oversight of the regulatory commitments we make across the CIB that require delivery and execution within the CAO organization. The team ensures regulatory commitments are tracked, there is awareness of them, and appropriate plans and resources for delivery and operational readiness are in place.  Other key deliverables are to help identify themes and regulatory trends that should be proactively addressed across the CIB, as well as prioritization and harmonization of the commitments.
The group has multiple responsibilities including:
  • Thought leadership, analysis and impact assessment of emerging regulatory trends on the CIB
  • Manage and track upcoming and in progress regulatory interactions
  • Provide transparency to Senior CIB Management of the regulatory landscape to ensure decision making can happen in a timely manner and enable the business to be proactive for future regulatory engagements
  • Ensure full CIB engagement in Regulatory Management Responses to drive comprehensive and achievable commitments
  • Manage Regulatory CIB KEYs process for Issue closure and chair KEYs committees
Job Description      
The role is within the EMEA Regulatory Commitments team and is to provide support to the EMEA team lead and the wider global Regulatory Commitments team and its deliverables.  The primary responsibility will be to produce and ensure that the reports and briefings for the portfolio of regulatory driven programs and exams are accurate, complete and timely.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Summarizing, tracking, and reporting of regulatory exams and commitments
  • Collaborate with global Regulatory Commitments team to produce an up-to-date tracker of all CIB commitments and regulatory engagements
  • Conduct data analysis of ROSE & FORCE regulatory data as well as other sources such as Compliance and Control flashes to identify CIB impacts
  • Ensure Regulatory Action Plans are complete and properly recorded through QA process
  • Providing clear written and verbal communications, ensuring that CAO management are well briefed on the current regulatory initiatives and exams
  • Develop and lead ad hoc analysis, presentations and projects as needed
  • Good knowledge of financial regulatory environment and financial services industry
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
  • Detail oriented and strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to build & maintain productive working relationships with colleagues globally at all levels and across functions in order to achieve results
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Executive level presentation skills
  • Ability to be flexible and follow tight deadlines
  • Strong partnership and presence: Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders
  • Good knowledge of the CIB Businesses and their products would be beneficial
