Group Overview

The Firmwide Planning & Analysis Group (FWP&A) is responsible for partnering across the Firm to provide strategic financial analysis, central oversight and coordination of Firmwide budgeting and forecasting, macroeconomic scenario design and distribution, and strategic program management and execution.

This includes oversight for Firmwide reporting across all four lines of business (LOB): Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), Asset Wealth Management (AWM), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) and Commercial Bank (CB).

 

Additionally, FWP&A helps drive the development of Firmwide financial reporting systems and tools, the simplification and automation of processes and the enhancement of analytics.

 
Role Overview

The PRIME (Process Improvement & Execution) Analytics Associate is expected to play an integral role in development of financial and analytical reporting systems, working collaboratively with a dedicated Technology and Operations team. Projects will encompass financial systems workflow, reporting and business integration.

The candidate can expect to have exposure to senior leaders across Corporate and Lines of Business and must possess excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.

 
Candidate Responsibilities

  • Key contributor to the development of Firmwide analytical and financial reporting systems and tools
    • Opportunity to work with Senior Management in creating strategic approaches and driving change
    • Challenge current practices and identify new opportunities
    • Provide in depth subject matter expertise including presentation of perspectives on key financial issues
    • Strive for continuous improvement of our processes, application designs and application execution
  • Play an integral role in the assessment and analysis of Firmwide processes and workflows, helping to deliver enhancements to key activities including, but not limited to:
    • Budget and Mid-Year Forecast
    • Monthly BD3 Outlook
    • Quarterly Earnings
    • Financial statement analytics
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Execution of the above with an emphasis on meeting deliverables within prescribed timetables/calendars

  • 5+ years professional experience in the review, analysis and presentation of Financials.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • An understanding of Corporate Finance, financial accounting and how key financial concepts are applied at the Firm
  • Self-starter who seeks to challenge the status-quo and is driven to excel in all aspects of their role
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequently changing priorities and to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including strong Excel and VBA skills
