CIB F&BM Regulatory (FRTB) Project Manager – Associate – London/NY
 
The Global Program Management Group of CIB Finance & Business Management (F&BM) is comprised of program and project managers who are responsible for the management and delivery of large scale change initiatives.  The Group partners with business and technology stakeholders to address regulatory, control, efficiency and business priorities as identified by the CFOs, Global Controllers and Business Managers.
The Group manages end-to-end program/project executions including: Project planning and reporting, budgeting/resourcing, business analysis/requirements, design, testing, stakeholder management, governance, dependency management and benefits realization.
The Regulatory Project Manager will manage, facilitate and support the Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB) Program, a multi-year change initiative to establish a new market risk paradigm as mandated by the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge of FRTB requirements, as well as objectives and plans of each project, working groups and work streams within the Program
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge of products, processes and systems relevant to the program requirements
  • Work with cross-product, cross-functional stakeholders to support projects.  Maintain and manage relationships across various Finance, Business, and Technology teams.
  • Provide project oversight and governance.  Manage project timelines, track and execute against required deliverables.   
  • Develop and maintain relevant program/project management documents: Scope, objectives, plans, milestones and scorecards
  • Coordinate, facilitate and lead meetings with stakeholders/management where project status, issues, risks and dependencies are discussed
  • Effectively communicate status and escalate issues to project leaders and management team  
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5-7 years of project management experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in a regulatory and/or cross-product/functional environment
  • Exceptional project management skills, with project experience working with technology and business
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills across various levels of the organization.  Ability to identify key messages and articulate complex issues concisely.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change; easily adapts to fluid situations
  • Quick learner with exceptional critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize diverse, disparate information, while asking pertinent questions to solicit information from stakeholders to achieve goals. 
  • Attention to detail.  Takes pride in the work she/he does and takes care to produce high quality work.
  • Team oriented and works well in a global collaborative model
  • Self-motivated and driven, also works well independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent deliverables, while executing tasks efficiently under aggressive deadlines in a complex environment
  • Excellent computer skills: MS Project, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
