The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).
CT teams are aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.
A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:
  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs -- Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency
 
Senior Cloud Java Developer role is a technology senior Java developer role to develop web applications on cloud in Legal Technology Tower of CT and based out of Bangalore, India.
Key Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
 
  • Design business tier of large scale web portals
  • Design and write code for web applications that scale to high-volume production quality.
  • Engineer a world-class cloud application with an eye towards rapid iteration and creative problem solving.
  • Contribute and collaborate in creation and consumption of open, standards-based solutions, while working with existing J.P.Morgan technologies and infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and drive those from concept to implementation.
  • R&D in emerging technologies.
 
Qualifications 
 
  • Analyze project risks, costs and benefits making recommendations to business and technology leadership.
  • Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced Java Developers.
  • “T-Shaped”/Broad skilled software development experience  with deep skills in certain areas such as coding, but also skilled in other areas such as Application Architecture, testing and analysis
  • Solid analytical & problem solving skills - capable of objectively reviewing and understanding issues and tenacious in seeking quick, creative solutions and removing impediments
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working within an Oracle/SQL server database environment  a plus
  • Solid understanding of Object oriented design methodologies
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities while multitasking effectively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 8+ years of web development experience, experience working on Java platforms.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
 
Technology Skills
 
  • Design business tier of large scale web portals, with specialization in cloud and AWS
  • Architectural Experience in cloud web applications
  • Ability to write technical design documents
  • Ability to work in agile scrum development environment.
  • Experience in Pair Programming, CI and Test Driven Development
  • Strong programming background in Java/J2EE for implementing web technologies.
  • Solid experience of the AJAX and spring, Hibernate frameworks.
  • Hands on experience with rest based webservices & microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of server side design patterns, continuous integration & continuous delivery principles.
  • Experience with unit testing like jUnit and mock testing tools mockito.
  • Experience with build tools like Maven, Gradle. 
  • Solid experience with tools like Eclipse, SVN, GIT/Stash, Fisheye-Crucible.
  • Knowledge of Cloud based technologies like AWS, Azure are an added advantage.
