Duties: Incorporate corporate architectural standards into application design specifications. Document application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop or enhance software application modules. Implement code quality controls and support access uplift programs and secure coding practices. Comply with project life cycle methodology in all planning steps. Adhere to IT control policies throughout design, development, and testing stages. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Work with product and technology partners using Agile methodology to coordinate and deliver multiple platform capabilities. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate security requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed IT solutions.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: banking and financial domain; investment and retail trading including trading equity options, ETFs, and MF; block trading of multiple accounts and distribution of trade; account, cash, and portfolio management; developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE including Servlet and JDBC, and Spring including DI, AOP, and Integration; JDBC; transaction management; SQL queries, functions, and stored procedures; application performance tuning; and Java Web Services including Soap or Rest, Hibernate, SSO-SAML, DocuSign, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server, IBM DB2, SVN, GIT, Tomcat, WebSphere, Splunk, Dynatrace, OUCM, Linux, JUnit, PowerMock, JIRA, Crucible, Sonar, Maven, Jenkins, Fortify, and Eclipse.
