The role is within the Risk Strategy & Execution vertical of Model Risk Management group which is tasked with coordination, planning, and execution of regulatory, control, audit, and corporate risk initiatives and deliverables. As a member of the team, the individual will be responsible for:
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Project execution and management from inception through end-to-end implementation
  • Work on the scope, goals and deliverables of the project to align with overall business objectives
  • Effectively engage with project team, technology team(s) and Senior Management, as appropriate
  • Work on model review publication and preparation of various senior management reports
  • Perform reporting and data analytics for large strategic projects in Model Risk management
  • Partner with internal teams to support business execution for Model Review and Governance activities
  • Develop, analyze and interpret process efficiency metrics related to Model Risk management
  • Provide and present relevant project status information, insights and recommendation to senior management and partners using MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and SharePoint
Qualification
 
  • Bachelors or Master’s (preferred) degree in Finance/Business/Economics or in Computer/Information Systems/Financial Engineering
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in model risk management or financial services space
 
Skillset
 
  • Strong MS Excel skills and VBA, experience in building macros is a must
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project, Visio, SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of MS-Access and SQL preferred
  • Knowledge of Python a plus, but not required
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to handle large dataset and number crunching aptitude
  • Ability to analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently, and work well in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to identify process improvement opportunities to improve overall client experience
