Global Services Operations (GSO) is responsible managing the Operations of the firm's Technology Infrastructure. The group provides infrastructure support across all technology platforms for the lines of business that operate within JP Morgan.
GSO provides a service based operation supporting critical systems across all JPMC businesses. Our aim is to be recognized as the most respected and efficient front-line force of the firm's IT services, through:
Satisfaction of our client needs and effectiveness of services; owning and resolving the majority of operational issues; reducing hand-offs and simplifying the client interface
Delivery of effective and efficient service through centralized and standardized management, coordination, communication, and improvement of our underpinning processes
Unlocking cross organizational synergies and driving increased organization performance through strategy and transformation management and improvements to tools and improvements to tools and processes
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Provide technical direction and leadership to internal teams and clients.
  • Automation planning and execution.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management and oversight of Asia Pacific Business Aligned change and incident management teams based in Singapore, India and Japan.
  • Control and publication of team 24/7 coverage Rota including consideration of EMEA and NA shifts and inclusion of shared and borrowed resources as necessary.
  • Work with NA based business aligned leads to understand line of business priorities and ensure the Asia Pacific team is aware of and actively supports events and initiatives.
  • Client management support regarding Incident/Change management and planning
  • Performance management and development of Singapore, Tokyo and India based staff.
  • Establishment and maintenance of a ‘one team’ mindset and operating model amongst the various Asia Pacific locations.
  • Serve as an escalation point of Priority 1 incidents, including active participation on calls for priority incidents and ensuring timely communication is done with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate global strategies and other firm wide initiatives in the location through the required management chain and regular meetings.
  • Drive operational efficiencies via service improvement plan/implement initiatives.
  • Minimum 10 years experience of relevant experience in infrastructure platforms and operations.
  • Proven experience in managing a geographically diverse team.
  • ITIL process experience.
Ideally your technical experience will include:
  • Solaris 10 and previous
  • Red Hat RHEL 7.0 and previous
  • VCS Cluster
  • VMWare
  • Veritas Netbackup
  • UNIX shell or other scripting language
  • Good working knowledge of monitoring systems such as Tivoli, Nagios and Ganglia
  • Strong experience of NAS and SAN infrastructure and components
  • Deep understanding of Red Hat Linux 5 & 6, Solaris 8, 9, 10, AIX, VMware ESX Server, BoKS, centrify, power broker or similar LDAP based authentication, Enterprise Password Vault, File System Architecture.
  • Good understanding of kernel tuning, backup server/client Configurations and patch updates & rebuilds concepts, Server health check & performance monitoring, scripting concepts (bash, Perl).
Business Knowledge (not essential):
  • Understanding and knowledge of regional trading venues.
  • Awareness of market influences.
  • Understanding of Markets.
  • Business regulations (SEC, FSA, Basal III, etc).
