The Corporate Sector, with an annual operating expense budget of over $10B and headcount of more than 35,000, is managed in two groups: “CTC” (the Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Private Investments), and “Other Corporate” (all other functions). The responsibilities below pertain to Other Corporate only.


The Corporate Sector Finance & Business Management (“CS F&BM”) group provides financial management, business management and reporting support for multiple Corporate functions, including Enterprise Technology, Global Real Estate, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Corporate Responsibility, Audit, Executive and other staff and corporate-aligned areas.


The Corporate Sector Planning & Analysis (P&A) team is a centralized team supporting the function leaders and their CFOs in the 30+ corporate functions that span the Firm. The team coordinates across all Corporate Sector teams and has direct interaction with Firmwide P&A, Investor Relations, the Regulatory Capital Management Office, Resolution & Recovery, Corporate Financial Reporting and the Global Finance & Business Management organization among other groups. The team consists of approximately 80 people, with primary locations in Jersey City, Columbus and Mumbai.


Reporting to the Corporate Sector Head of Planning & Analysis, the Head of Data Reporting and Business Analytics will be responsible for managing a team that provides consistent, valuable and timely intelligence to key stakeholders through monthly reporting, ad-hoc analytics and self-service data capabilities. This person is responsible of defining the data strategy to ensure internal clients such as Corporate CFOs, Lines of Businesses (LOBs) and Firmwide Stakeholders have accurate and readily available information for Corporate Sector. This role has end-to-end responsibilities for setting up, leading and delivering consistent financial information, simplification initiatives and executive communication to senior leaders.


In addition, this role has the responsibility for project planning, analysis, and execution for data infrastructure with a focus on automating the flow of data throughout Corporate Sector. This will require ongoing collaboration and coordination with Technology, CFO teams and other stakeholders to spearhead the development and management of dashboards and various other reporting capabilities.     

Specific duties include:
  • Deliver thorough business intelligence around key financial processes including month close, quarter close and planning sessions (annual budget cycle and mid-year forecast).
  • Define strategy to expand reporting capabilities beyond financial data to better serve the different Corporate stakeholders.
  • Articulate and execute a vision around data simplification and automation through dashboard capabilities.
  • Communicate critical variances and present financials to Corporate Sector leadership.
  • Synthesize recommendations and lead operating enhancements to financial processes.
  • Provide analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and make recommendations that influence decisions.
  • Direct oversight of and partnership with the India Global Service Center (GSC) Corporate P&A team.
  • Directly engage in ad-hoc projects and analytics to support the Corporate Sector P&A Head and Corporate Sector CFO with requests coming from senior leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA/CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of finance and overall business management experience in a complex financial organization
  • Advanced analytical skills, problem solving, good critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in varying degrees of detail depending on the audience.
  • Highly organized and control oriented.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and quickly assess and adjust priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, issue resolution, and negotiation
  • Ability to be strategic and forward-thinking in approach to organizational structure and process improvements
