The Business Function 

The UK Product Delivery Team is an implementation team focusing on the coordination and execution of complex and critical investment solutions for both Institutional client mandates and JPMorgan Funds, primarily in EMEA but also globally. The team provides continuity and confidence to our clients, navigating increasing complexity driven by product innovation and regulatory changes.

The team consists of Product Delivery managers, Delivery Specialists, Strategic Project Managers and the Account Information Group. Members of the team work cross-functionally with senior representatives from Investment Desks, Product Development, Client Account Management, Compliance, Risk and Control functions as well as Team Managers and subject matter experts in Investment Operations, Technology and Third Party vendors.


The Role

Product Delivery Specialist (VP)

As a Product Delivery Specialist you will be responsible for providing a dedicated and professional onboarding analysis and implementation function for the business. Working closely with the Product Delivery Managers and other Analysts, you will be tasked with supporting the design and implementation of operational models and solutions for new business opportunities and mandatory requirements through regulatory change.  This is a key role with daily interaction to representatives from the Equity, Fixed Income & Currency, and Multi-Asset Solutions Investment Desks, Beta Strategies, Product Development Groups (globally), Global Trading Agreement Group, Operations Team Managers and their appointed Subject Matter Expert’s (SME).

 


Types of initiatives

You will be tasked with supporting the following, but not exhaustive, types of initiatives for accounts managed on the EMEA Investment Management Platform:

  • New account onboardings for Global domiciled JPMorgan Funds, Institutional Client mandates including Insurance and Sub-Advisory business

  • Life cycle changes to JPMorgan Funds or Institutional mandates such as Mergers, Closures, In-Species, Custody Changes

  • Solutions for new business opportunities

  • Design and implementation for operating models

  • New instruments or new market initiatives

  • Support regulatory driven programs where change impacts Client mandates or the JPMorgan Funds 

     

Responsibilities

  • Engage key stakeholders, manage project work streams and all associated activities to support implementation of initiatives from initiation phase through to post implementation review
  • Chair regular Front Office, Operational and relevant work stream meetings/conference calls/telepresence sessions that are duly minuted with actions and followed through to completion
  • Understand and translate business requirements into project plans, onboarding checklists, process flows and runbooks
  • Provide effective communication and regular status reporting to key stakeholders
  • Proactively identify risk and control issues to prevent and mitigate risks. Collaborate to resolve issues and escalate to the Product Delivery Management team as appropriate
  • Ensure the development of end-to-end operating models that are strategic and scalable where possible
  • Develop, review and maintain functional procedures and project management tools
  • Review  the effectiveness of implementation and endeavor to  identify ways to improve the way we work
  • Support the global team to develop best practice standards and consistency
  • Act as a role model and mentor junior members of the team

  • Experience in Asset Management and project management in a disciplined, execution focused environment with a proven track record of delivery
  • Resourceful individual who is detail oriented with strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Self-disciplined and able to work independently showing initiative and problem solving skills
  • Ability to engage with various stakeholders to discuss requirements and business impact of Product Delivery initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with a wide audience varying in degrees of seniority and ability to develop effective relationships with key business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to articulate complex ideas, concepts and solutions
  • Demonstrate strong risk awareness and ability to apply critical thinking
  • A team player who is flexible and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance in demanding/time-sensitive initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
  • PRINCE II qualification preferable
