Description
 
The individual will support the Risk CFO Business Intelligence Reporting team on the various reporting initiatives and development. This Senior Visualization Lead will be responsible for designing and delivering next generation visualization Dashboards. The candidate would be hands on developer, actively participating in Agile Process, keen on learning new technologies, setting high standards for himself and other in the team. The candidate will have excellent technical writing and communication skills.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Work with multiple business teams to fully understand business requirements and translate it.
    • Build and maintain Dashboards
    • Develop technical standards, procedures, and guidelines
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs and data flow diagrams.
    • Constantly improving SDLC process, actively participating in adopting best industry practices
    • Interface with business professionals, application developers and technical staff working in an agile process and environment
    • Document success criteria and monitor solution effectiveness, including system performance, adoption and other key metrics
    • Leverage Qlikview technology (Qlikview, Qliksense, N-printing) and other BI tools for reporting analytics and data visualization and delivery
    • Responsible for addressing creation/maintenance of management reports as per the business/management requirements of the Global Banking teams
    • Experience in SSIS, SSRS, Report builder, Tableau and other BI Tools will be added advantage
    • Reporting will be provided to support Corporate and Investment Bank. Delivery of these projects will be dependent on coordination across global business teams
    • Support ad-hoc report creation/change requests
    • Utilize data visualization software (QlikView, Tableau) to enhance delivery of new and existing reporting
    • Experience developing QV user interfaces: Creating charts, filter boxes, list boxes, text objects, etc. Ability to apply and customize formatting using style sheets
    • Load script development experience: Ability to load data from multiple source
    • Experience using scripts to transform data for various dashboard requirements
    • Advanced knowledge using set analysis & variables
    • Familiarity with section access, databases, universes and business process flows
    • Understand the functional specifications from management in a clear and concise manner
    • Facilitate the performance tuning of reports and universes and timely issue resolution related to reporting support
    • Co-ordinate across global teams to deliver on the reports
    • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives
    • Provide Resiliency Support on Service / Reporting tools such as report builder, tableau, excel etc.
    • Provide support to team colleagues as required
    • QV server administration experience and Familiarity with QV management console would be added advantage

 

 

Qualifications
 
  • 10+ years of experience developing enterprise-grade Visualization/Reporting Capabilities
  • B.E. with 6-8+ years’ experience or B.Sc (Computer Science) with 12+ years of relevant experience
Skill sets
  • Data Visualization (QlikView/ Qliksense, Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Excellent SQL and VBA skills
  • SharePoint, ASP (Classic and .net) and Javascript
  • Experience in R programming / Python a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate/coordinate effectively at all levels and with onshore & offshore stakeholders in a friendly and helpful manner displaying tact, consideration and clarity.
  • Proven track record of developing high-volume database application software, from initial requirements definition through deployment into production.
  • Providing effective mentoring to the team.
  • Experience building BI systems, analytics and business intelligence platforms
  • Passion for good software design and code
  • Team player exhibiting professional maturity, personal integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills, can-do attitude
  • Experience in the financial industry
