Team Overview:


The CIB IAM Controls team is part of an Identity and Access Management tower under the wider Controls Transformation team in CIB’s Oversight & Controls organization. CIB IAM Controls is a vital function across various Controls projects under Business Management Office. CIB IAM Controls support is critical for the success of a number of programs to re-enforce and strengthen our controls around identity and access management (cybersecurity) across the Line of Business with the Corporate and Investment Bank. The team serves are a designer of controls in access management, handling both the strategic business case for such controls as well and implementation and operational aspects once the controls are designed. The CIB IAM Controls team partners with a number of internal partners including Controls organizations, business stakeholders and technology delivery teams to deliver control solutions that enhance our safeguards, strengthening our access controls.

  • Lead a team of controls analysts and program managers to deliver on key strategic programs

  • Analyze data as a driver for the decision making, design, and implementation of controls; drive results based on facts or analysis

  • Utilize a  mix of analytical and risk-based approaches to identify and prioritize action plans

  • Partner with operations, technology and third party stakeholders to define the access standard requirements for JPM access to enterprise information assets

  • Conduct meaningful analyses of the Firm’s internal and Third Party Provider portfolio and prepare reports to senior management on a consistent basis which includes - summary findings, identifying trends, drawing conclusions

  • Continuously review our current information asset entitlements and identify opportunities to enhance metadata associated with the entitlements including better business descriptions

  • Thought leadership and ability to improve current processes by identifying trends, ineffective procedures and perform root cause analysis to enhance efficiency of the operational aspects of the program.

  • Strengthen controls by identifying gaps and making change recommendations in order to enforce and enhance data integrity

  • Provide concrete plans on implementing monitoring frameworks for the control objectives

  • Communicate effectively to LOB partners and other control functions to share knowledge

  • Work with program office on reporting and score-card

  • Examine and rationalize current control framework in access management and utilize as a driver for more strategic initiatives such as Roles Based Access Control

  • Involved in the development of training materials and other educational programs


  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in a Business Analyst or similar role preferably in Identity & Access Management (IAM) or Cybersecurity

  • Very Strong analytical and data analysis tools with experience in handling larger data sets

  • 3-5 years of experience in a detailed analytical role (IAM or Cybersecurity or Business Controls)

  • Excellent MS Excel skills required; knowledge of statistical tools a plus

  • Strong, proactive task-based approach with focus on delivery

  • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and standards with expectations to track risks and manage

  • Knowledge of process analysis and control design techniques

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written skills and strong, broad-based communications skills - ability to discuss range of topics with a variety of business managers from operations through executive and build strong working relationships

  • Self-motivated & confident with the ability to demonstrate leadership, challenging and influencing change where necessary

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and work in a fast paced environment

  • Sound business judgment and objectivity

  • Bachelor's degree in a financial domain or Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology and/or field such as information security

  • Individual will work predominantly in EMEA shift, flexibility with shifts is desirable
