Job Description:
Proven leader with superior technology skills in the technology space, domain skills in IT organization, talent management and relationship building skills, given extensive interfacing required with IT senior management and cross-function leaders.
 
The role has a high level of responsibility for delivery of technology for the systems globally. The candidate will work closely with the global CTO to deliver high quality technology services and projects on time, on scope, and on budget. 
 
  • Responsible for managing a strong techno-functional with a successful track record of managing large global teams (this person would have teams in Geneva, Glasgow, India, and United States)
  • Experience supporting back office operations as a business unit
  • Knowledge of investment accounting and/or tax reporting a big positive
  • Knowledge of Olympic as an accounting platform a huge plus
  • Familiar with modern development methodologies, toolsets, and concepts including Agile, Cloud Development, Continuous Integration/Deployment, Automated Unit and Functional Testing
  • Responsible for delivery of IT solutions with focus on time to market, quality of service, effective IT investment and expense management. 
 
Overall responsibilities include:
 
  • Manage a complex & varied stream of project deliverables in terms of quality, timeframe and cost.
  • Ensure reliability and stability of applications.
  • Build, train and develop, depth and skill of technology staff to improve overall delivery stream and quality of our application portfolio
Management and Leadership Skills
  • Ability to build relationships across the enterprise with Lines of Businesses, Technology, and Business where relevant
  • Experience in managing and ramping up large teams - commitment to attract, develop and retain talent.
  • Experience in working in large global complex matrix organizations
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, relationship and negotiating skills
  • Ability to accurately interpret business direction and clarify technology's alignment - making recommendation for adapting the team to different skills (technology, behavioral, soft skills) as required
  • Ability to effectively manage a complex and demanding book of work that supports a large, revenue-generating line of business
  • Experience in managing vendor applications
  • Excellent partnership & people management practices
  • Control the fixed costs and achieve year on year savings (hardware, space, resources costs etc.) as well as develop practices with Technology managers to optimize resources usage and deliver on going re-engineering opportunities and develop/produce productivity metrics accordingly.
  • Understanding of the Risk & Regulatory environment and being able to make decisions accordingly
Technical/Domain Skills
  • Expert understanding of distributed technologies, with capability to intervene on a hands-on basis as required
  • Must have experience in project/program management
  • Advanced IT, process improvement and problem solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies would be desirable.
The ideal candidate will have
  • Considerable relevant IT experience within management or senior level roles
  • Computer science engineering degree from a premier institute
  • A hands-on approach to management with the ability to deep dive into technology / design as well as be able to give strategic direction to the team
