JPMIM’s Infrastructure Investments Group (IIG) identifies, analyzes, acquires and manages infrastructure investments through an open-ended master-feeder structure.  As an investment manager on behalf of its clients, JPMIM develops, redevelops and operates these assets.  JPMIM also assesses capital
markets and controls investment risk in determining the optimal financing, diversification and disposition strategies for the managed assets.
 
We seek candidates with approximately 6 to 10 years of infrastructure, hedge fund, private equity or related accounting experience to assist with the financial management, accounting and reporting of its Infrastructure Investments Fund (“IIF” or “the Fund”).
 
The VP will assist in driving the new FX Hedging solution and work with the administrators and hedging banks to accurately execute and record the FX exposure for the Fund and individual hedged investors. The person will work closely with an experienced group of professionals while engaging in all aspects of financial analysis, accounting, treasury functions, internal controls as well as interacting with external auditors, attorneys and third party service providers.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for overseeing the accounting and reporting of IIF’s FX hedging solution.
  • Work with the Fund Administrator to estimate the FX exposures of the Fund and the investors on a quarterly basis.
  • Coordinate with the Hedging Administrator to execute the hedges with the relevant banks on a quarterly basis.
  • Review the work of the Hedging and Fund Administrators to ensure that all accounting and reporting of Hedged investors are accurate and timely.
  • Develop relationships with hedging banks and Administrators and leverage them to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the process.
  • Assist the rest of the IIF Finance team on all other quarterly and annual deliverables to ensure that all reporting to hedged and unhedged investors are timely and accurate.
  • Review and analyze performance data for individual assets, clients and for the overall Fund.
  • Assist with the Fund’s treasury function.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal/external clients and consultants.
  • Ability to work in many roles within the team framework (leader, support, co-worker, backup for peers).
  • 6-10 years of experience of infrastructure, hedge fund, private equity or related accounting experience within financial services supporting Infrastructure Investment funds
  • Understanding of open-ended fund structures.
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very strong analytical skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Degree with major in Accounting.  C.P.A. preferred.
