Commercial Bank – Middle Market – Analyst – Syndicated Finance

The Syndicated Finance (SFG) team is housed in the Commercial Bank and is responsible for working on complex financial situations involving syndicated and leveraged transactions for middle market clients. The SFG team works with clients to provide insights into debt capital markets for corporate capital requirements, including working capital, capital projects, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. As the leading corporate debt house, JPMorgan holds commanding leadership positions in these product specialties. Transactions involve high-level interaction with senior bankers and executive management within client firms. The final officer title and job grade is at the discretion of the firm and will be discussed at the time of offer. It may be different than what is listed on the requisition based on candidate experience level.


Analysts within SFG gain critical skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, due diligence, and deal structuring. Analysts function as fully integrated deal team members supporting senior originators.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing and driving detailed financial modeling and financial statement analysis
  • Determining cash flow and debt capacity based on a wide range of business models
  • Driving the preparation of capital markets, credit approval packages, and marketing materials
  • Significant interaction with clients and investors

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information and help develop innovative client solutions. Financial modeling experience and familiarity with various models
  • Develop capability to run less complex transactions with minimum oversight
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Well organized and able to efficiently manage projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to client senior management, investors and senior members of the firm.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in investment banking or commercial banking
  • Security licenses 79 & 63 Must Obtain
