Our Business
Wealth Management (WM) Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Asset & Wealth Management line of business.  The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals.  Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations.  WM Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with capital advisory, operations, risk and finance.
Position Summary
The Business Analyst / Associate will join the global WM Credit Analytics & Reporting team delivering Line of Business focused analysis and MIS solutions.   Key focus for this role will be to assist with quality assurance (including some re-performance) of key risk reports and regulatory reports, determining MIS reporting requirements for parts of the Technology Agenda, and other BAU/project work as needs arise.
Responsibilities include
  • Provide ideas and coordination for maturing of quality assurance program within the global MIS reporting team.
  • Doing quality checks, re-performance, and reconciliation of key risk reports.
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in operations data and processes.
  • This individual is expected to document, review, analyze and evaluate business processes, systems and user needs. 
  • They will assist in the review of reporting solutions within various reporting tools.  Types of analysis and reporting may include: QA scorecard development, quality reviews, workflow analysis, and business / client reporting.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with team members and across the business.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work in a team environment for resolution of issues.
  • Assist with other BAU tasks/project work as needed including build of ad hoc queries. 
The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude, be detail oriented, and have a strong aptitude for analyzing large, complex data sets to deliver high quality reporting to senior managers. 
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance, reporting, or business analytics role
  • Excellent attention to detail, sense of urgency and a creative mindset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong data analysis/quantitative/technical aptitude with ability to quickly learn new metrics, processes, and datasets
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Pivot Tables, Access, Power Point, SQL)
  • Project management experience and/or technical business analyst experience preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership and work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Executes superbly and meets commitments
  • Knowledge of Asset Management and/or the wholesale lending business is preferred
  • BS/BA preferred
Current performance level reflects a rating of ‘meets’ or ‘exceeds’ in present role
