The Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions team (WCAS) is responsible for implementing key credit risk practices across Wholesale businesses, and ensuring consistency in methodologies within Wholesale Credit Risk. The team works across the Corporate and Investment Bank, Commercial Bank and Asset Management divisions, and is closely aligned with firm-wide partners including Reporting, Finance, Model Risk & Development, Technology and the Regulatory Capital Management Office. We seek candidates with strong skills in finance, analytics, problem-solving, and communication. WCAS work is regularly presented to the JPMorgan’s Board of Directors and Operating Committee, and is also leveraged for external constituents, including the Firm’s investors and regulators.
WCAS’ areas of responsibility include Traditional Credit Product (TCP) stress testing (CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP) and Basel RWA, developing the firm's authoritative wholesale credit risk parameter data set, reserve/allowance management, development and implementation of an economic credit capital model, the design and integration of credit and capital limits, risk grading methodology, and the provision of strategic advice and solutions to the originating businesses. WCAS fosters a dynamic analyst environment which encompasses specific analyst training and networking events. Generally, there are mobility opportunities for good performers within the group.
  • Be an integral member of the wholesale credit stress testing team
  • Support the production of regular stress testing exercises (CCAR/DFAST, Mid-Year ICAAP, quarterly Risk Appetite, as well as IFRS9 and CECL) as well as more ad-hoc regional, Legal-Entity based or portfolio-based exercises. Collect data from various sources, synthesize the information, perform analysis, and interpret results in order to assist in making recommendations which impact the lines of business
  • Partner closely with Risk, Finance and Quantitative Research groups, centrally and within LOBs, to assist in the enhancement of existing wholesale loan stress models.
  • Improve baseline modelling to support model-based budgeting
  • Prepare and present results to stakeholders, including management teams in Risk and Finance and regulators. Analytics include but not limited to sensitivity, attribution, and variance analysis
  • Help explore the development of complex sensitivity analysis and the extension of stress testing results for 1st line management
  • Partner with the firm’s Risk Id team to help align wholesale stress testing with risks identified across the wholesale portfolio. Help explore alternative, data-driven risk identification for wholesale credit.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated, organized and possess a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient skill in processing, analyzing, controlling and reconciling large datasets
  • Ability to build rapport and influence change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and solve problems independently and excel in a high-pressure, deadline oriented environment
  • Experience in econometric and statistical modeling is highly preferred. Experience in risk management (credit or market risk) a plus
  • Proficiency in programming language (Python, SQL, R) a plus
  • BA/BS degree required; Master degree or CFA a plus
